Today's Agenda: (1) Submit repertoire to Mr. Lorenzo Arquero of Serenata Strings. Submit copy of song for the "bridal march". DONE! (2) Go to Mary, Mother of the Church parish here in our village to submit letter from San Agustin re: Marriage Banns. Kainis lang kasi when I called last week to ask them if they would need anything else, ang sabi wala. Just submit the letter that they need and they explained the posting sched. I called them up again yesterday to confirm if there would be anything else we need to submit. Wala na naman daw. So off we go to the parish church. Upon submitting the letter, they were asking for 2x2 pics or a pic of the couple together. Grrrr... I had no idea kasi what they need since they mentioned twice na letter lang ang kailangan. Hay... people... people... NOT YET DONE! (tinamad akong bumalik) (3) Cook for my uncle and cousin who will be having lunch today at our place. Mom cooked her ever-yummy Mechado, and I cooked Beef Salpicao. Yummy. Nasira ang diet ko. Hehe... DONE! (4) Go to Greenhills with relatives and Bheiby. NOT DONE! Hehe. We all planned to go there today to shop of course. Ü We were all ready and good to go when we all realized that we are unable to use the van. Coding kasi. Nyek! Kaya pala my tito didn't bring his car kasi coding sya. Kami din pala. Grabe! Funny talaga. We were all planning on what to check out and buy. Since everyone was dressed na and ready, SM Southmall ang bagsak namin. LOLZ! We couldn't go to Alabang Town Center nor Festival Supermall kasi coding. Even if we had Friendship stickers, d pwede kasi pang lang Las Piñas and other friendship routes lang ang sticker. I was wondering kanina bakit d pwede samantalang, the Friendship route here in las pinas ends up to Alabang Town Center. Mali pala ako. It ends up to a certain village lang pala at un ang boundary ng las pinas and muntinlupa. Once you go past that gate, huli ng pulis. Hehe. Tomorrow, we are going to Divisoria. this time, hindi na kami coding. Yipeee! ************************************************************************* I plan to post pics of what we have done re: wedding preps, and my yummy SALPICAO. kaya lang connection is still terrible today. Kairita talaga. Everytime I upload the pics, nage-error. Reported this na to Globe. Oct. 5 ang first report ko. Next was Oct. 10. Hello?!?!? Oct. 18 na, wala pa din nagpupunta here sa house to fix the problem. And to think, the automated message kept on playing "On-site technical visits will be attended to within 24-48 hrs." HELLO again?!!??! Ilang oras na kaya!!!!

This day got me started with the souvenirs. Ribbon here... ribbon there... glue gun here... glue gun there... ouch! 25 down 75 more to go. Hehe. Buti na lang the favours for the PS are not to ma-trabaho. All I have to do is arrange them nicely into the jute bags, and VIOLA! Went to visit Mr. Lorenz Arquero of Serenata Strings. Had to sign the contract and get a list of the repertoire as well. Pleasant talaga sya kausap. A very simple, good man. Will visit him on Wednesday to provide him the list of songs. Syempre, hindi ko dapat kalimutan yung CD na grabe sa tagal namin nahanap ni Louie. There's this special song kasi that we want for the wedding. It will be the song played as I walk down the aisle. We're keeping it a secret muna para kami una. Hehe. CLUE : we love playing online games. you would never imagine this song being played sa game na to. Enuf clues. Buti na lang I remembered how strict San Agustin is regarding songs for the wedding ceremony. Called them up and confirmed everything with them. Medyo nervous pa me while talking to them coz there is a chance that they might not approve the song that we want. Thank God, pumayag. Love song naman kasi sya e. Once I finalize all the songs to be played, I will give them a ring to inform them of our choices. ********************************************

Yes! It feels so good to be back. A lot has happened the past 2 months. I really don't want to put it into details coz sad, really sad yung iba. Enough of that na lang... Wedding preps na lang again. We're back of track and I must say na we have accomplished quite a lot na rin. Though I'm kinda worried regarding my gown and the entourage's gowns as well. Had our measurements taken already last August 6 pa. When I contacted her last week to ask how everything is going and when will the fitting be, sa last week of Oct. pa daw. HUWWAAATT??!?!? Ganun ba talaga yun? Nag-worry tuloy ako coz some of the w@wies na ikakasal sa December had their 1st fitting na. The others nga 2nd na yata. Oh my! H2b is getting pissed of na rin. Lalo na my mom! Hay... Will post pics of what we have accomplished and stories behind it na rin. Til my next post... Ciao!

My previous post was about the general church requirements needed for a wedding. That of course includes the Marriage License. Then now, I realized that there still are papers needed before you get to apply for a Marriage License aside from the the church needs. Marriage License: a requirement for either a Civil or Church wedding to be held in the Philippines. The Application Form for a marriage license must be secured at the Local Civil Registrar from the city, town or municipality where either the bride or the groom habitually resides. The personal appearance of those getting married is required in applying for a marriage license. Each of the contracting parties shall file separately a sworn application for each license with the proper local civil registrar. Philippine law prescribes a ten-day waiting period from the filing of the Application to the issuance of the marriage license. The license is valid for 120 days from date of issuance and may be used anywhere in the Philippines. At the time the contracting parties appear to file their application for a Marriage License to the local civil registrar, he or she must also submit the following supporting documents: 1. Birth Certificate - Certified True Copy required of each the contracting parties with the respective registry number. This document is issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO). NOTE: NSO now provides a web service which accepts online application for copies of birth and marriage certificates. It is called the e-Census, a web facility aimed to provide Filipinos within and outside the country an alternative means in applying for copies of their civil registry documents. It also has a 24-7 hotline called the NSO Helpline Plus with telephone no. (632)737.1111. You could also reach them via email through: e-census.info@mail.census.gov.ph 2. PareConsent (for nts' 18-21 years old) or Parent's Advice (for 21-25 years old): Under Philippine law, the legal age for marriage is 18. If the contracting parties are between the ages of 18 and 21, they must present written consent to the marriage from their father, mother or legal guardian. While any contracting party between the age of 22 and 25 must present written parental advice, i.e., a written indication that the parents are aware of the couple's intent to marry. Read Parental Consent vs. Parental Advice for a detailed discussion on the difference between the two terms. *** Hehe... this we won't be needing anymore coz we're a little over 25 but less than 30. Browsing www.weddingatwork.com right now to check on the general church requirements for the wedding. This has to be scheduled as I am now on the graveyard shift. Meaning, right after work, off I go to arrange the requirements. How I wish na open sila ng Saturdays. * Baptismal Certificate: These must be new copies and must have an annotation: "FOR MARRIAGE PURPOSES ONLY" and must have been secured not more than three (3) months before the date of marriage. *** I immediately contacted Holy Family Parish in Quezon City, where I was baptized. They informed me na 6 months ang validity ng Baptismal Certificate. Check! Will see when I can go there. * Confirmation Certificate: Like the Baptismal Cert., these must be new copies and must have an annotation: "FOR MARRIAGE PURPOSES ONLY" and must have been secured not more than three (3) months before the date of marriage. *** Waaahhh! Have to schedule my confirmation pa pala! Yes! Hindi pa ko nakukumpilan. * Marriage License: This can be secured from the city or municipality hall where either the bride or the groom currently resides. * Canonical Interview: This interview with the bride and the groom will be done one month before the wedding date and will be conducted by the parish priest or his assistant. The schedule of the interview will be given upon the signing of the application form. Failure to report on the interview date or failure to notify the office of any change in the schedule will mean cancellation of the application and reservation of the church for the upcoming wedding. *** Ms. Belen of SAC noted on the receipt that we are scheduled for an interview on the 4th of October at 9am and told us to bring requirements 1 and 2. Hmmm.... Is this the Canonical Interview? * Pre-Wedding Seminar: Both the bride and the groom have to attend this. The schedule for the seminar will be given during the canonical interview or you may inquire at the parish office. Some churches may allow attendance in other pre-wedding seminars such as the Catholic Engaged Encounter (CEE) or Discovery Weekend (DW) as a suitable substitute (if you have already attended either one of these, inquire at the parish office if they recognize either CEE or DW in lieu of their Pre-Marriage Seminar.) * Permission from the Bride's Parish: a permit from the parish of the bride-to-be must be secured and presented to the parish office of the couple's chosen ceremony venue. The form will be provided by the parish office of your chosen church. * Marriage Banns: These will be provided during the canonical interview and have to be immediately brought to the respective parishes of the bride and the groom for posting. These have to be returned to the office after three Sundays. (Note: the respective parishes may ask some requirements for the posting of the banns [i.e. a ID picture from the bride and the groom]) * List of names and addresses of principal sponsors (Ninongs & Ninangs): This has to be submitted to the parish ames and addresses of office one week before the wedding date. It's been two weeks since my last post. Been so busy with work and training. Kainis pa ang weather, - and because of that ... I'm sick. Waaah! I really hate this feeling coz konting galaw lang, and sakit na ng katawan ko. I have been sleeping the whole day coz of a terrible headache din. Oh, my! ******************************* Will be back to "wedding preps" mode again come July. Have to fix the papers na, invitations, and schedule my confirmation. Yaiksss!

I was still wide awake at 2am thinking that I will be able to survive 'til 5am. I wanted to sleep kasi early morning so that I will be asleep for the rest of the day. But, surprise! I remembered Milli Vanilli's song - Blame it on the Rain. Yes, i was blaiming the rain last night coz it lulled me to sleep before 3am. YaikS!! Lamig ng hangin with raindrops you hear on the roof. Haaayyy. Good luck to me! Fabulous! I slept at around 3am, woke up at 6am. Brilliant, right? Now, I need to sleep after lunch just to complete the 8-10hrs of sleep that I need. Hohum......Coffee and coke didn't work this time... Na-immune na ako.

My oh my! This is gonna be a long night for me as I will try my very best not to fall asleep. Shift sched tomorrow is at 9pm. Waaahhh.. Night shift again! Had a can of coke an hour ago, later coffee naman. I'm not used to this sched anymore. It's just minutes a little over 10pm and still I have lots of hours to bum around. Can't read a book, as I might fall asleep. I am also trying hard not to watch tv, coz tv lulls me to sleep whether I watch sitting or lying down. Can't stay too long in front of the pc coz my brother's gonna use it pa. Hmmm.. still trying to think of what to do. thinking... thinking...thinking... Idea no. 1 : Clean clutter out of my closet Idea no. 2: Re-arrange my room Idea no.3: do nothing at all... Hay... katamad talaga. Hehe. Weird. I have been working for the past 4 yrs na sa call center and this is the only time na nag-complain ako staying up late. For the past months kasi I got used to the normal life. Gising sa umage, tulog sa gabi. Can't complain further coz this is what I wanted. This is what I chose. I am now reading an old email sent by my friend in relation to being an employee at a call center. Funny talaga. 1. dahil halos di na kayo nagkikita ng nanay at tatay mo, an tawag na nila sayo ay "boarder" at sinisingil ka na nila sa upa mo! Happy Independence Day, everyone! Today was a tiring yet fun day for us. We celebrated mama and papa's wedding anniversary at the farm. Nothing grand bout the celebration. It was just a simple salo-salo that we normally have on weekends. Kainis lang coz we were supposed to go swimming kaya lang the guard-on-duty said na we can't. Whaaaat?!??! They were supposed to be opened coz it is a Holiday and most of the lot owners will be going there to relax. Closed daw ang office. Hehe. Weird. Anyway, since wala naman magagawa pa, we went back na lang sa kubo to make kulit the oldies. At the back of my mind, I was contemplating on the fact na talagang d kami makapag-swim. Honestly, I dunno how to swim (hehe). It's just that I wanted to be in the water the whole time coz sobrang tirik ng araw. I even had to wash my neck and face several times coz I was feeling itchy na talaga. Pinantal na ko b'coz of the heat. Sossy! Pinanpantal ako sa sarili kong pawis. Well, well, well, LOLZ! Good thing after lunch, kumulimlim then it started to drizzle. Wuhooo.. I wished talaga the good heavens for rain. Alas, after a few minutes, umuulan na! Yipeeeee! Enjoy ako. Babaw.... Hay naku, I am so lazy to continue writing kasi I notice only now na hindi nagf-function ung connection ng Palm ko to PC. Aaaaarrrghh talaga!!! I took kasi pictures using my fone and sent it to the PDA since USB lang gagamitin ko to transfer everything. And here I am, 2 hrs na sa computer, IDENTIFYING USER pa din ang nasa screen ng PDA. #!%$^&#$@#

Of anniversaries and lotsa food....

Tomorrow marks my parent's 35th yr of marriage. Whoaaaahh! 35 looooong years. They've been through a lot of ups and downs but still the relationship is going strong. They have managed to last this long simply because of their love for each other. One of the secrets that they shared to me is to respect and understand each other. Most of all they taught me to put God in the center of our lives as I become a wife and my Bheiby, my husband. Haaay... Sarap isipin. I know that it won't be easy, but if they have managed to stay together for such a long time, as well as the others, Bheiby and I know that we can do it. Happy Anniversary, Mama & Papa!!! More wonderful years of togetherness to come!!! ************************************************* Had dinner at Bheiby's place today. My oh My!!! Daming food. Hehe. Bheiby's into cooking these days. He even bought cookbooks for him to learn more about cooking and good food. I left the cooking to him. I just helped him in chopping garlic, onions, etc. It was fun! It was like a preview of what our married life would be in the kitchen. He cooked Pork Pata Caldereta which he followed step-by-step from the ever reliable Del Monte Kitchenomics cookbook. He also prepared Igado which we had for dinner. Yummy! Too bad, I am only allowed to eat a cup of rice. Diet... diet... diet... Lastly, he also prepared my favorite, Adobong Chicken Liver and Gizzard, which he plans to bring tom sa farm, as we celebrate my parent's anniv. Hay... can't wait for tomorrow. Heaven talaga lasa ng luto ng BheibyKo!!! I didn't get to take pics of the food coz we were so hungry and excited to eat na. Next time na lang. Btw, I kinda feel sad (naks) coz I didn't get to taste the Caldereta. It still needed a little boiling kaya hindi na umabot. I had to leave early kasi to prepare naman for tomorrow. Oh well, knowing my Bheiby, he'll save some for me. =D Right, Bhe? Mwaaaah! Food... food.... food!!! Love you Bheiby! Bopis! Bopis! Bopis! << his specialty!

haaay... long time no post again. been busy as usual the past week not b'coz of wedding preps but b'coz of the mini-salon that my mom decided to put up. Hehe. Yes, mama decided to open a salon here lang sa house. She decided to have the garage renovated and voila! Parlor na cya. Lolz. Now, the van stays out of the garage. Awwww. . . Anyway, we formally (naks) opened the salon June 3, exactly a week ago. Of course, we had it blessed and kainan after. Yipee! I am proud to say that the business is doing well. Unti-unti nakikilala ang salon. I never imagined na ok pala ang ganitong business. I mean, people would really go to salons on a weekend or a holiday, but to my surprise, thank God, may tao everyday. He never really lets us down. Thank you po talaga. Funny pa b'coz I was looking into mama's notebook where she jots down everything related to the salon,ABA! may naka-shedule na for the coming week and the week after that - hair spa, hot oil, foot spa, relax, hair color. Cute, at least we have something to look forward to. Oh, and btw, have I mentioned the name of mama's business?

THE CAKE

This is the cake that Rey of Freshcuts customized for us. I saw kasi a picture online of a calla lily cake which Nice & Morning had on their wedding. It was also Rey who did their cake. So upon meeting him, and with respect to Nice & Morning, syempre we had ours customized na rin. Simple din cya, just like the gowns. 4 layers, 2 of which are edible. May crystals and edible calla lilied around it, tapos fresh calla lilies on top. No flavor yet. Hehe.

As promised, I have scanned na the sketches of the gowns. Kinda sad coz it isn't clear as what I expected it to be. May blue smudges sa drawing when it was scanned while the orig copy is super clear naman. Haayy... Anyway, I have the original copy with me naman so, ok lang. Funny talaga! Whenever I see my gown, I can actually imagine myself in it. Kuhang-kuha ang taba ko. Lolz... Diet na ito to the MAX !! WAAAAHHH!! The gowns that I want are simple lang. No frills na sobra whatsover. Bagsak lahat ng cut ng gowns coz I want it light and airy.

Got 2 of the sketches that Lory, of Pixie Weddings, made. Got the sketch for my gown, and the other sketch was for the MOH. She still has to complete the sketches for the SS, Bridesmaids, and Flowergirl. Funny. It seemed like she took a picture of my body, neck down for her to make the design for my gown. The sketch she made kasi was on the heavy side as well. Hehe. MOH gown is simple. Accent lang will be placed on the shawl. Puro rhinestones and pearls yata. I think I have to take another look at the sketch. Hehe. Will post the sketches once I have them scanned. Will scan the sketch Rey of Freshcuts made na rin for the cake. It has been quite a tiring day for me. Gotta end now.......

Hay... 6months to go, THE DAY na... waaah still have a lot to accomplish. I think that we're still doing ok 'coz we got most of the major suppliers for the event na. Super excited and nervous as well. All I can say is.... All the hardwork will pay off in the end. Church : San Agustin - paid reservation a year ago pa (lolz) Reception Venue : Fr. Blanco's Garden - fully paid Caterer: Skyline - paid 70% na. Had our food tasting na din. Luckily, the choices we had were excellent. Super sarap lahat.... Can't wait to eat na.... Oh my! It's been quite a while since this page has been updated. Have been very busy the past two months. 7 months to go till the wedding, and we still have a lot to accomplish. We're not quite worried though 'coz most of the important suppliers have been booked. Here's a rundown of the events that transpired the past 2 months: March 20, 2006 : MIL2B arrived. Yippeee.. Though her trip will be cut short ( coz she has to back in December), her stay here was fun and enjoyable. March 30, 2006 : PAMAMANHIKAN - Ganun pala ang feeling. Hehe. I kept on whispering to Louie how nervous and excited I am. First time kasi. Lolz. Imagine, sa pamamahikan nervous na me, what more on my Wedding Day! Waaaah.... Everything went well, actually there wasn't any planning done coz planned na halos ang lahat the day after being engaged. Hehe. Talk about being excited! Lolz. April 4, 2006 : PUERTO GALERA -Had a blast! And being a certified Galera virgin ( sis Jacque, d ka nag-iisa Ü), I really enjoyed my stay there from day 1. Though I didn't get to stay in the water for long because of the "girl thing", nag-enjoy naman me sa pamamasyal. Most of all, enjoy coz I was with Louie's family. More updates to come - mostly wedding updates na!

Our altar date has been moved from December 9, 2006 to December 12, 2006. Perfectly fine with us. We just got word that Louie's relatives will be coming home to witness the wedding and I think this will be the first in the family. So, we decided to move the date to accomodate everyone. Special sila for us and we want to share our altar date with them. Went to San Agustin and Fr. Blanco's, Makati Skyline yesterday to change the date. Personal daw dapat ang pag-change ng date coz they have to change the receipt din. So everything has been done na. Contacted Gladys na rin of Impromptu and Rene Gaviola to inform them bout the change. Texted them sometime last week na rin to ask if they are still available on the said date. Both parties said yes. Gladys even sent me the dates of their wedding functions. Rene said yes din. Pero after a while got a message that he has to ask permission from his wife pa. Imagine, wedding anniversary pala nila yun. He almost forgot! Hala. hehe. So I texted him na kahit ayaw namin we had to let go coz I'd understand naman if hindi talaga pwede. And besides, kami ang nag-change ng sched. So nakakahiya naman. But no, he replied instantly at ang sabi " Ok lang. Go pa din tayo sa Dec. 12! " So, he still is our official photographer. Yey!

Hay! At last, na cut ko na ang printed save-the-date cards. Now, I'm in the process of laminating it (and enjoy me) using the self-laminating sheets I bought from SM Southmall pa din. Too bad, the magnetic sheets I ordered hasn't arrived yet. Buti na lang the guy was there ( the guy who was so kind to help me out before) to assist me. Kasi if I ask another person, naku baka sa album section ako dalin ulit. Bought 1 roll na rin of the ribbons I will be using. I was able to make 5 pa lang. Hehe. Will do more later hanggang sa maubos ko ung magnetic sheets na natira.

Finally, I have come up with our Save-the-Date cards. After days and days of figuring out what to do, I thought of making it as simple as possible na lang to match the invitations that we will be giving. Really simple lang talaga. The first I made was kinda palpak. I had it printed in the wrong color. D ko pala na choose yung color namin so it came out na green lang. As in green na parang girlscout green. Waaah.. D yun ang gusto naming color. But since I had it printed out na, I decided to go to Alabang Town Center. Dun kasi located yung Avkys Prints. They make Laminated ID's, Bag Tags , Key Tags , etc... Similar sya sa W@W tags natin. Maganda naman ung outcome. It's just that I really didn't want the color. So ayun, after work I had to face the computer again to think of a design. Since H2B wanted it plain and simple lang, I decided na monogram na lang sa background. Nagawa ko din cya. Trial and error. As I've said, simple lang cya but I'm happy with what I made. Had it printed kanina and FINALLY I got the color. Hehe. What's next na lang is to cut and stick the magnets.

Kinda feel sad right now. Called up Mr. Alex Franco to inquire about the wedding package. He was so nice. He asked when my wedding was, I said Dec. 9, 2006. He said - "Sorry". Waaaaah! He has been booked na last year pa. He even said sorry a lot of times. Wonderful person talaga!Sya pa ang nagso-sorry coz hindi nya ko ma-accomodate come our wedding day. Nyak! In fact, ako dapat mag-sorry kasi if I really wanted his services I should have contacted him last year pa. To die for pa naman ang all-edible cakes nya. Waaaaa talaga! ( dabog... dabog) He even mentioned na kung sa Fernwoods kami, pwede pa. Haaaayyyy..... Ok lang. Maybe it really wasn't meant to be. I understand. It was my fault din naman. So, here I am now, contacting cake suppliers from my ever reliable BYP. Went to SM Southmall yesterday to look for magnetic sheets. I was kinda nervous at first kasi the lady I asked said na wala daw. Then I explained to her what it was. She said she wasn't familiar with that kind of product. Waaaaahhh! She even brought me to the album section dahil dun lang daw ung alam nya na may magnetic sheets. Yun pala magnetic pages ng mga album yun. Haaaayyyy. Buti na lang she led me to this guy who understood what I wanted. He even told the lady where it was placed. Then the lady said, ah magnet pala. LOLZ! Anyway, I got the last 4 pieces sa shelves nila. The guy was kind enough to inform me na oorder cya today para ma-deliver on the 15th. I said ok. Better too wait than to scout sa ibang lugar na I am not even sure kung meron. Bought laminating sheets as well. Konti lang muna coz I wanna see what it will look like. I bought nga pala the self-laminating kind. Btw, the sheets cost P75/piece and the self-laminating sheets cost P99.75/pack. I better get started now or else...... magkukulang na naman me sa time. Hehe.... Til our next post .....

Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas to all!!! (lolz) Goodness...11mos, 1 wk, and 6 days to our wedding day !!! What?!?! How fast time flies... Reality check - No need to relax and put things aside. Have to act now... fast. Obviously, I don't get to update our blog daily , and honestly, coz of my busy work sched - I never get to browse through it. All of a sudden 11mos etc appears right before my very eyes. Goodness gracious! Working on Christmas Eve : How I hated it! I feel so senti pa naman during this season. I really dunno why. Just the thought of Christmas makes my heart melt. Awww... Well, that's life. You have to bear with it. Take it as it is coz that's the way it's meant to be. Enuf said... Ayoko na... I've made it through Christmas Eve and here's the thing... I am scheduled to work on New Year's Eve too. BRILLIANT !!! Ayoko na! Kainis!!! ( a famous line heard on the floor ) Wish granted : I got a wonderful Christmas and bday (12/22) gift from my Bheiby! I received a Palm Z22 ! Yipee! Kulang na lang mag-tumbling ako sa saya. Exactly a year to go before the BIG DAY !!! So excited, but pressured at the same time. It was so sweet of my bheiby to send me a message not to feel pressured coz we know na kakayanin namin to. Haaaayyyy... There's still a lot that needs to be done. At least we have started booking the important stuff since March - Church ( San Agustin Church) , Reception Venue ( Fr. Blanco's Garden) , Caterer (Makati Skyline) , Wedding Coordinator (Impromptu), and Photos ( Rene Gaviola). But wait.... dami pa pala kulang. When I checked my planner early this morning, that's when I realized na I have to start scouting na for possible suppliers. I have made a list before pa. But admittedly, I haven't contacted them yet. Waaaaahhh! Thanks to the ever reliable W@WIE group coz through them at least, we get tips and most especially the rates of suppliers. Enough of my entry now.... Gotta start computing and scouting again.....

Feels so good to be back... To make a long story short, I was so busy with work for 3 straight months. Now, I'm back & ready once again to start the wedding preps. Bheiby & I had accomplished quite a lot within the past 2 weeks. For 2 straight Saturdays, we spent time with preparations and booking certain suppliers. Here goes the list: 1. Father Blanco's Garden : Location, location, location... That's what it's all about. It may be an intimate affair with closest friends and relatives, or a grand affair for 400, I've had in mind that the site sets the tone for our event. When we made reservations last March 12, 2005 for the church ceremony, we decided to take a look at the place. I really want a garden reception. It will be romantic and intimate at the same time. After that visit, Louie & I knew right at once that we found a place. That was it! So, on Aug. 27, we were there again not for a visit anymore but this time to make a deposit to reserve the date itself. Againt, it's as if we were in a different world. It always gives me goosebumps when I see the ruins. And, as so many has mentioned, the venue will be perfect in every aspect - decor, ambience, view, and lighting. Great design and backdrop can do wonders. We just know it will... 2. Makati Skyline : The venue we chose only has Skyline as their accredited caterer. Good to know that Skuline serves quality food. Many caterers say that most of their businees comes from word of mouth. We haven't heard neither read anyhting negative about them. Made reservations as well on that same day. Will be back before the year ends to make a 70% downpayment and to select the menu. 3. Rene Gaviola Alternative Photography : This guy is amazing! Great work! Wonderful personality! He was so accomodating, as in ACCOMODATING! Imagine us going to his place (house!) to make the deposit???!!! I can vividly remember when he said "Whoa, my very first client to visit me here!" Kakahiya man but we just made wise use of our time since we were in Pasig then to visit a friend. Actually, I gave him a call before going there, and that call was for an immediate appointment with him. We were just so lucky that he was still home at that time. For Louie & I, a great photographer should be a professional storyteller who will create the ultimate souvenir of our wedding - the album. Rene showed us his actual work and I was speechless. There's a story behind every picture that we saw. Photojournalism ( unscripted shots), dramatic, artistic, traditional... 4. Impromptu : A wedding planner or coordinator can do a lot to ease the pressure of organizing the event. May it be Full Coordination, Half-way or just On-the-Day, they will realy play an important role in planning your wedding. Louie & I met Lai and Gladys on Sept. 3 at the Wedding Expo. Had so much fun with them, even had lunch with them. After all the introduction and explanation of their services, we made the deposit na. So excited to meet them again and do consultation, etc. They provide excellent rates too! Thanks to W@W! I really am thankful for being a W@wie! Our wedding is still more that a year away. Being the OC that I am when it comes to events like this, it's never too early to make arragements. So far, this is all that we have accomplished. Tiring but fun. We know that all the hardwork will pay off in the end... Sept. 3, 2005 : Our very 1st visit to a Bridal Fair. We were so excited plus the fact that we will be claiming our W@W tags ( and T-shirt). Also made a mental note that come September 2005, we will begin to scout for possible suppliers and make arrangements for the wedding. How we loved the W@W tags!!! We didn't realize that the tags were still hanging out of our bags until we got home. Special indeed! I was so ready to attend the fair even though Louie and I lacked sleep. I brought my big red bag which is similar to a bayong to fit everything that I had to bring. My mags, pens, clearbook filled with wedding chuvas, contracts, calculator, notebook, and the money of course. What made it more special is because my Bheiby was with me that time. Though he lacked sleep, I didn't see nor hear him complain. Now I remember! We both complained because of the a/c that wasnt enough for all the people who attended the fair. I loved the fact that he was also busy looking at the booths in the fair. Most of the time kasi he would just leave it all up to me. But this time, he was so hands-on na din with the preps. That's what makes it special. I really am so happy and thankful that he was there with me. Love you, Bheiby!!!

Went to Nusa Dua Farm in Cavite yesterday. Though tired from work the previous night, still joined my parents and relatives to visit the place. Very relaxing ang atmosphere, though the sun was all up talaga. We didn't mind it coz everybody seemed to enjoy the stay. Wish I could own one of the lots there. 750 sq meters ang minimum lot area. You can purchase more than that, pero syempre iba na rin ang price. Last stop there was the model farm house. 750 sq meters lang cya pero it looked really big. Farm house has 2 floors and yes, I love it. Like my mom, mahilig din kasi me sa wood and antiques. Too bad, I didn't get to take a picture of the beautiful bedroom. Was busy kasi day dreaming about owning a farm house/lot there eh. Oh well, dreams do come true right? There's nothing wrong in dreaming. I know that I will have a place like this din... just think positive and it will happen.

Got engaged on Valentine's Day. I had never thought that I would be engaged on that very day. I very well know that V day is special, but I never really was into it. My bheiby and I would rather spend it at home or dine out for a while. We never really wanted to dine out in a fancy restaurant and be in the middle of a crowd. Feb. 14, 2005 : After a long, tiring day at work, I was so excited to meet my Bheiby. Maybe because I had a hint from the text messages that he has been sending at noon. Still, I controlled my emotions thinking that it could be something else. Met him at 4pm, had coffee. It was so funny coz he was shaking! Literally shaking. He was holding my hand, I was staring at him. Still I couldn't help myself. His mouth was so shaky. His hands were trembling and sweating. 5pm.. 6pm.. still nothing happened. Aarrrghh! 10pm - after having dinner with my family, went out for another round of coffee. Met up with friends as well. Finally, he said something sweet and special and brought out the ring from his pocket. ( He later admitted that the ring was in his pocket since we met at 4 and he was so nervous na mabuko ko siya and I didn't even notice it !!) Everything went blank. Time stood still. Me, being the iyakin type, it was very surprising that not a single tear fell. I was so numb, I didn't even say Yes!!!! ( this i learned when i asked him if i answered him with a yes the following day!) All I did was to look at him straight in the eye, smiled, gave him a nod and a quick embrace. That was it! Funny, it has just been 2 months since I've been engaged and I already have the complete list of the whos, whats, when and where about my wedding.... That's what I call being Excited...... x's: lot's of editing done for this post... hehehe.... Ü
